Where We Live: Saratoga
Saratoga has evolved into an exclusive enclave dotted by the multimillion-dollar homes of today’s corporate geeks.

WOW !! We thought that you were writing about Saratoga (NY) - but realized that ‘geeks’ would have read ‘Wall Street’ and you didn’t mention new, ugly condos !! Cheers, from the East Coast - Saratoga Springs !!

I didn’t see any slideshow. The Merc continues a long history of the worst web design–bad layout, confusing navigation, non workable add-ons. To that they marry leftist grievances and class envy.

no navigation for the slideshow? your site is consistently dificult to deal with.

You just need to provide instructions to click on each of the panels below. It took me awhile to figure out the front page is not the slideshow. I had assumed the panels below were for prior stories due to the title of the panels.

You just need to add directions to click on the panels below. The title of the panels is confusing and makes it appear that they are for prior stories.

Beautiful slideshow (!), but I couldn’t have figured out how to get there without reading the previous comments. The “Featured Stories” at the bottom of the panel didn’t seem to have any connection to the picture of the Los Gatos downtown.

A wonderful description of Saratoga’s history augmented by a compilation of fine pictures. Thanks.

I lived near there from birth to age 21, when I happily moved away due to the high cost. I miss the old Saratoga from my youth in the 1970’s and 80’s. I miss the orchards, the dairy (Mr Peaks), the cows, the horse stables, the beauty. Now I look on Google Earth and all I see is cement and buildings. You rich people go ahead and eat up the prettiest place in Ca. I have my memories.
